WHO: Los Angeles County Arboretum & Botanic Garden

WHAT: The 2008 LA Garden Show presented by Monrovia Growers. See 12 gardens designed by top California landscape architects and garden designers. Over 75 Marketplace exhibitors will offer a selection of specimen plants, the latest in garden implements and decorative garden elements. Noted garden experts will present lectures and demonstrations.

WHEN: Friday, May 2nd through Sunday, May 4th from 9 A.M to 4:30 P.M. Admission is $2.50-$7.00. Those that become Arboretum Members--or already are Arboretum Members--will be admitted free and allowed to enter the Show one hour prior to opening to the public. Parking is free. WHY: To present the home gardener a vision for sustainability through the presentation of garden displays, lectures, climate appropriate plants, and information for water and energy conservation.

PREVIEW RECEPTION: A special V.I.P. May Day preview reception will be held on Thursday, May 1, 4:30-9:00 P.M.; those attending will be given the first opportunity to purchase specimen plants. Preview and purchase 4:00 P.M. – 6:00 P.M.; Reception 6:00 P.M. - 9:00 P.M. Tickets are $75 per person. Please call 626.821.3208 to purchase tickets.
